PhysioKeys Terms of Service

Last updated: 24 July 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of PhysioKeys, including our website, web app, research search tools, AI answer features, saved article tools, uploaded PDF features, assignment tools, billing features, newsletters, transactional emails, MCP connector features, and related services.

For these Terms, “PhysioKeys,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the operator of PhysioKeys. “You” means the person or organization using the service.

By creating an account, accessing PhysioKeys, using the app, uploading content, connecting PhysioKeys to an external AI assistant, purchasing a subscription, or otherwise using the service, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, do not use PhysioKeys.

1. What PhysioKeys is

PhysioKeys is a research discovery and AI evidence support platform for physiotherapy, rehabilitation, clinical education, research, and related professional or academic use.

PhysioKeys helps users search research literature, save articles, organize evidence, upload and extract text from PDFs, ask AI-assisted questions, prepare assignments or notes, and connect authorized AI assistants through MCP.

PhysioKeys is not a medical device, electronic medical record system, patient management system, diagnosis tool, emergency service, or substitute for professional clinical judgment.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use PhysioKeys.

If you are under the age of majority in your country or region, you may use PhysioKeys only with permission from a parent, guardian, school, university, employer, or other authorized supervisor, as applicable.

You may not use PhysioKeys if you are legally prohibited from using the service, if we previously suspended or terminated your account for serious misuse, or if your use would violate applicable law.

3. Accounts and security

You are responsible for your account and anything that happens through it.

You agree to:

  • Provide accurate account information.
  • Keep your login credentials secure.
  • Not share your account with unauthorized users.
  • Notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.
  • Use PhysioKeys only for lawful and permitted purposes.

We are not responsible for losses caused by your failure to protect your account, device, email account, connected AI assistant, API access, browser session, or login credentials.

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate accounts that we reasonably believe are compromised, abusive, fraudulent, illegal, harmful, or in violation of these Terms.

4. Clinical, educational, and research disclaimer

PhysioKeys provides research support and AI-assisted evidence tools. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment instructions, patient-specific recommendations, legal advice, regulatory advice, or professional supervision.

You are responsible for independently reviewing source articles, checking citations, confirming facts, applying professional judgment, following local clinical standards, and complying with your professional, academic, institutional, and legal obligations.

Do not rely on PhysioKeys as the sole basis for clinical decisions, diagnosis, treatment, patient education, academic submission, legal decisions, policy decisions, or safety-critical decisions.

AI outputs may be incomplete, outdated, misleading, biased, hallucinated, or wrong. You must verify important information against the original sources.

5. No patient record or confidential clinical use

PhysioKeys is not designed to store patient records or confidential patient information.

You must not upload, enter, paste, save, or transmit patient-identifiable information, confidential patient records, clinical notes, patient images, protected health information, or sensitive health information.

You are solely responsible for the information you submit to PhysioKeys.

We are not responsible for your decision to upload, enter, store, disclose, or process patient-identifiable, confidential, copyrighted, restricted, or otherwise sensitive information through PhysioKeys.

6. User content

“User Content” means anything you upload, enter, save, submit, paste, connect, generate, import, or otherwise provide to PhysioKeys, including:

  • Search queries.
  • AI prompts and follow-up questions.
  • Saved articles, notes, tags, folders, statuses, priorities, and preferences.
  • Uploaded PDFs and files.
  • Extracted PDF text.
  • Assignment content.
  • Feedback, comments, messages, and support requests.
  • Content sent through MCP-connected assistants.
  • Any other data, text, files, metadata, or materials you provide.

You keep ownership of your User Content, subject to the rights you grant us in these Terms.

You are solely responsible for your User Content and for any consequences of uploading, storing, processing, sharing, relying on, or using it.

We do not endorse User Content. We are not responsible for User Content uploaded, submitted, stored, processed, displayed, transmitted, generated, or used by you or by other users.

7. Your responsibility for uploaded PDFs and other files

PhysioKeys may allow you to upload PDFs or other files, extract text from them, save article metadata, and use them with AI-assisted features.

By uploading a PDF or other file, you represent and warrant that:

  • You have the legal right to upload, store, process, and use the file in PhysioKeys.
  • Your upload does not violate copyright law, license terms, publisher terms, university rules, employer policies, confidentiality obligations, privacy laws, patient privacy rules, or any other applicable rules.
  • The file does not contain malware, spyware, harmful code, illegal content, abusive content, or content you are not allowed to process.
  • You will not use PhysioKeys to distribute, share, publish, sell, or misuse copyrighted or restricted content.
  • You will not upload patient-identifiable information or confidential patient records.

We are not responsible for the content of files you upload. We are not responsible for copyright infringement, privacy violations, confidentiality breaches, licensing violations, academic misconduct, clinical misuse, or other harm caused by your uploaded files or your use of uploaded files.

We may remove, restrict, block, delete, or disable access to uploaded files or extracted text if we believe they violate these Terms, violate law, create security risk, create legal risk, infringe rights, or may harm PhysioKeys, users, third parties, or the public.

8. License you give us to operate the service

You grant PhysioKeys a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, copy, process, transmit, display, analyze, extract text from, transform, and use your User Content only as reasonably necessary to:

  • Provide the service.
  • Run search, AI, saved article, assignment, PDF, and MCP connector features.
  • Store your content in your account.
  • Generate outputs you request.
  • Process support requests.
  • Maintain, secure, debug, and improve the service.
  • Enforce these Terms.
  • Comply with law.

This license ends when your User Content is deleted from active systems, except where continued retention is required for backups, security, legal, billing, audit, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legitimate business purposes.

9. Prohibited content and conduct

You must not use PhysioKeys to:

  • Violate any law, regulation, court order, contract, license, institutional policy, or professional rule.
  • Upload or process content you do not have the right to use.
  • Infringe copyrights, trademarks, database rights, privacy rights, publicity rights, confidentiality rights, trade secrets, or other rights.
  • Upload patient-identifiable data, confidential patient records, or protected health information.
  • Upload malware, viruses, ransomware, spyware, tracking code, or harmful files.
  • Attempt to access another user’s account, files, PDFs, search history, answer history, saved articles, billing records, or data.
  • Bypass authentication, rate limits, usage limits, plan limits, security controls, billing controls, or access restrictions.
  • Scrape, crawl, copy, export, bulk-download, or reverse engineer PhysioKeys except as allowed by us in writing.
  • Resell, sublicense, redistribute, or provide PhysioKeys as a competing service.
  • Use PhysioKeys to create, train, benchmark, or improve a competing product without written permission.
  • Use PhysioKeys for spam, phishing, fraud, impersonation, harassment, abuse, or deceptive activity.
  • Use AI outputs without checking source accuracy where accuracy matters.
  • Use PhysioKeys for emergency, safety-critical, or patient-specific clinical decision-making.
  • Interfere with service performance, security, availability, or integrity.
  • Misrepresent your identity, affiliation, credentials, student status, clinical status, subscription status, or authorization.
  • Use PhysioKeys in a way that could harm us, other users, third parties, publishers, institutions, patients, or the public.

We may investigate, restrict, suspend, or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

10. AI features

PhysioKeys uses AI to support search, ranking, evidence synthesis, article interpretation, answer generation, and related features.

AI outputs are generated by automated systems. They may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or unsuitable for your use case. You are responsible for reviewing and verifying all outputs.

You must not present AI-generated content as professionally verified, clinically validated, legally reviewed, or academically approved unless you have independently reviewed and verified it.

You are responsible for any decision, action, submission, publication, diagnosis, treatment, advice, communication, or other use based on AI outputs.

We may use third-party AI providers to provide these features. Your use of AI features may also be subject to the provider’s terms and policies.

11. MCP connectors and external AI assistants

PhysioKeys may allow you to connect your account to external AI assistants or MCP-compatible clients, including ChatGPT, Claude, or other tools.

By connecting PhysioKeys to an external assistant, you authorize that assistant to request and receive information from your PhysioKeys account according to the permissions and tools available through the connector.

Depending on the connector and your account permissions, an external assistant may be able to:

  • Search PhysioKeys or PubMed through your account.
  • Fetch article details, abstracts, and cached full text where available.
  • List your saved articles.
  • Save articles to your library.
  • Check account status, plan information, and remaining allowances.
  • Process prompts, notes, article data, and other information you provide through the assistant.

You must not submit protected health information, patient-identifiable information, confidential clinical records, passwords, payment-card information, government identifiers, or authentication secrets through the PhysioKeys ChatGPT/MCP connector. The connector is intended only for de-identified, general research questions.

You are responsible for the external assistants and tools you connect. We do not control ChatGPT, Claude, or other third-party AI assistants. Their use of your data is governed by their own terms, privacy policies, settings, and data controls.

You should only connect PhysioKeys to tools you trust. We are not responsible for losses, disclosures, errors, misuse, or harm caused by external AI assistants, MCP clients, browser extensions, automation tools, integrations, or connected accounts.

We may revoke, limit, suspend, or disable connector access if needed for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance, service stability, or enforcement of these Terms.

12. Research data, article metadata, and third-party sources

PhysioKeys uses article metadata, abstracts, links, publication information, and full text where available from sources such as PubMed, PubMed Central, journal websites, publishers, open-access sources, and other research databases.

We do not guarantee that article metadata, publication dates, abstracts, classifications, full text availability, links, citation details, study labels, or relevance rankings are complete, accurate, current, lawful to use in every context, or suitable for your purpose.

Third-party research content remains subject to the rights and terms of the relevant authors, journals, publishers, databases, universities, institutions, and content providers.

You are responsible for complying with any third-party terms that apply to the articles, PDFs, full text, metadata, or content you access, upload, save, use, or cite.

13. Subscriptions, billing, credits, and payments

PhysioKeys may offer free trials, free plans, paid subscriptions, usage limits, AI credits, top-ups, saved article limits, search limits, and other paid or unpaid features.

Prices, plan features, usage limits, credit amounts, renewal terms, and available features may change over time. We will try to present important pricing and plan information clearly before purchase.

Payments, subscriptions, invoices, taxes, billing portal access, refunds, and chargebacks may be handled by our payment provider, Lemon Squeezy, or another payment provider we use in the future.

By purchasing a paid plan, subscription, or top-up, you agree to the price, billing cycle, renewal terms, provider terms, and any usage limits shown at checkout.

Unless stated otherwise at checkout or required by law:

  • Subscription fees are billed in advance.
  • Subscriptions may renew automatically.
  • Top-ups, credits, and usage-based purchases may be non-refundable.
  • Unused credits may expire according to the plan or product terms.
  • Downgrades, cancellations, or failed payments may reduce or remove access to paid features.
  • We may refuse refunds where there is abuse, fraud, excessive use, violation of these Terms, or where the purchase has already been substantially consumed.

If the payment provider handles cancellation, billing portal access, invoices, tax, or refunds, you may need to use that provider’s portal or support flow.

We are not responsible for payment-provider outages, card issuer decisions, bank fees, currency conversion charges, taxes, failed payments, chargeback decisions, or billing information you enter incorrectly.

14. Trials, limits, fair use, and abuse prevention

PhysioKeys may provide limited free trials, anonymous trial usage, plan allowances, rate limits, credit limits, file limits, search limits, answer limits, saved article limits, page limits, character limits, or other fair use restrictions.

You must not create multiple accounts, manipulate identifiers, use VPNs or automation, share accounts, abuse anonymous trials, or bypass limits to avoid payment or restrictions.

We may limit, throttle, block, suspend, or terminate usage that appears abusive, automated, fraudulent, excessive, harmful, or inconsistent with normal personal, educational, research, or professional use.

15. Ownership of PhysioKeys

PhysioKeys and its software, design, interfaces, workflows, branding, logos, code, databases, ranking systems, scoring systems, article classification systems, AI workflows, prompts, curated datasets, search features, and other service components are owned by PhysioKeys or its licensors.

These Terms do not transfer ownership of PhysioKeys intellectual property to you.

You receive a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use PhysioKeys according to these Terms.

You may not copy, modify, reproduce, sell, lease, sublicense, reverse engineer, scrape, mirror, frame, or build a competing service using PhysioKeys unless we give written permission.

16. Feedback

If you give us suggestions, ideas, bug reports, feature requests, comments, rankings, ratings, or other feedback, you grant us the right to use that feedback without restriction or compensation to you.

We may use feedback to improve PhysioKeys, develop features, fix bugs, change workflows, create marketing materials, or improve our products and services.

17. Third-party services

PhysioKeys depends on third-party services, which may include hosting providers, database providers, authentication providers, analytics providers, AI providers, payment providers, email providers, research databases, journal websites, MCP clients, and external AI assistants.

Third-party services are not controlled by PhysioKeys. They may have their own terms, privacy policies, fees, limits, restrictions, outages, and data practices.

We are not responsible for third-party services, third-party content, third-party policies, third-party failures, third-party security incidents, third-party pricing changes, third-party model changes, third-party API changes, or third-party availability.

18. Service availability and changes

PhysioKeys is under active development. Features may be experimental, incomplete, changed, removed, limited, or discontinued.

We may modify, suspend, replace, restrict, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, including features, plans, prices, limits, AI models, providers, data sources, search systems, MCP tools, PDF features, and billing features.

We do not guarantee that PhysioKeys will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, error-free, fast, accurate, or compatible with your needs.

We may perform maintenance, deploy updates, fix bugs, change infrastructure, or respond to incidents without advance notice.

19. Privacy

Your use of PhysioKeys is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

The Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect personal information.

By using PhysioKeys, you agree that we may process information as described in the Privacy Policy.

20. Copyright complaints and takedown requests

We respect intellectual property rights.

If you believe content stored or processed through PhysioKeys infringes your copyright, you may contact us at:

Copyright contact: jallad@physiokeys.com

Your notice should include:

  • Your name and contact information.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work you believe was infringed.
  • Identification of the material you believe is infringing and enough information for us to locate it.
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  • A statement that the information in your notice is accurate.
  • Your physical or electronic signature.

We may remove, disable, restrict, or preserve content in response to copyright complaints, legal notices, publisher complaints, court orders, or other rights-related concerns.

We may terminate accounts of repeat infringers or users who repeatedly upload, process, or misuse content they do not have the right to use.

21. Moderation and enforcement

We are not obligated to monitor all user activity, User Content, uploaded files, prompts, PDFs, AI outputs, connected assistant activity, or account behavior.

However, we may review, restrict, remove, delete, preserve, or disclose content or account information if we reasonably believe it is necessary to:

  • Operate the service.
  • Enforce these Terms.
  • Protect users, patients, third parties, publishers, institutions, or the public.
  • Prevent abuse, fraud, spam, malware, security threats, or illegal activity.
  • Respond to legal requests.
  • Investigate violations.
  • Protect our rights, property, safety, reputation, or service integrity.

Our failure to enforce a rule in one situation does not waive our right to enforce it later.

22. Suspension and termination

You may stop using PhysioKeys at any time.

You can delete your physiokeys app account at any time from Account → Security in the app. Deleting your account cancels any active subscription immediately; fees already paid are handled under the refund terms above. See our Privacy Policy for what happens to your data, including the 14-day restore window.

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access if:

  • You violate these Terms.
  • You fail to pay fees.
  • Your account appears compromised.
  • Your use creates legal, security, abuse, fraud, operational, or reputational risk.
  • We are required to do so by law, provider restriction, court order, or third-party claim.
  • We discontinue the service or a feature.

After termination, you may lose access to your account, saved articles, uploaded PDFs, extracted text, answer history, assignments, credits, plan features, MCP connections, and other data.

Some sections of these Terms will continue after termination, including sections about User Content responsibility, intellectual property, payments, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, disputes, and legal compliance.

23. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, PhysioKeys is provided “as is” and “as available.”

We disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of accuracy, reliability, availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, data security, clinical usefulness, academic suitability, and uninterrupted service.

  • USD $100.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability. In those jurisdictions, liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

25. Indemnity

26. Consumer rights

Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.

If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction with mandatory consumer protection rights, these Terms apply only to the extent permitted by those laws.

27. Governing law and disputes

These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising from or relating to these Terms or PhysioKeys, are governed by the laws of the State of Kuwait, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Any dispute, claim, or legal proceeding arising from or relating to these Terms or PhysioKeys will be brought exclusively in the competent courts of the State of Kuwait, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
